Capital 4 Impact Foundation (C4IF) is a social impact investment foundation, working through the global network of Plan International. Founded by Plan Denmark, C4IF unlocks private sector capital by mitigating risks for investors and leverages its international presence and partnerships to bring social impact to scale while creating financial return on investment.
The Capital 4 Impact Foundation (C4IF) is unique in its capacity to integrate various dimensions: delivering financial returns to investors along with social impact, building on fifty years of expertise and presence in more than 50 developing countries with the highest potential for additional impact, and using blended finance approaches to scale up market-based solutions.
The foundation will focus on Africa and the Middle East, complementing Danish development finance and the government’s new Africa strategy, which calls for more investments to ensure long-term sustainability.
C4IF invests in health, education, water and sanitation, climate adaptability, food systems and financial services, with a gender lens, focusing on job creation and climate action.
