Abler Nordic is a Norwegian-Danish public-private partnership established in 2008 that invests in financial inclusion institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Investors include the Norwegian and Danish governmental funds for developing countries (Norfund and IFU) and private Norwegian and Danish investors.
Through its investments, Abler Nordic seeks to contribute to a more inclusive, just and environmentally sustainable society by building up financial institutions that enable low-income households in developing countries to build a better future.
With aggregated commitments of 345 million USD between five funds, Abler Nordic has supported close to 13 million customers with financial services since inception, over 90% of them women. Abler Nordic has its headquarters in Oslo and offices in Delhi, Jakarta, Nairobi, and Copenhagen.
